What to Expect

Relax.

We know that the first visit to any new doctor’s office can often be a stressful experience, and we are going to do our best to make this a pleasant experience for you. One way that we can calm some of your apprehension is to let you know what to expect on your first visit.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment.

First we will greet you and obtain information including your driver’s license and insurance card.

This will enable us to answer any questions you may have and get your information into our system so your doctor can see you on time. This will also give us a chance to get to know you.

Dress comfortably. Keep in mind that the doctor will need to observe the area of pain. While we often need our patients to be gowned for x-rays and some exams, we will take every measure to ensure your privacy.

Please bring any X-rays, MRIs, CT Scans, and/or tests that have been performed in relation to your problem or injury.

A detailed history and examination will be performed to assess your problem, this may include x-rays if indicated. Treatment may be given on the initial visit, especially for those in acute pain.
